"Biographical information for THREE AGAINST FOUR calls them 'a cross between 3rd Eye Blind and Jamiroquai'. They really aren't as hideous as that, though. The first track on their VerchoBridge release, Some of us are Here, 'Grace', is an homage to the late great Jeff Buckley, from whose first album the song takes its name. The rest goes off in a funky direction that compels comparisons of the Boston bands, including 311, and other 'bands by the numbers', like Eve 6. And they are a 'power trio'. What's with the new math in music these days? But there's a level of intelligence here that rises above most of the sea of bands jonesin' to jam."
